Travel Directions from the NY Thruway

We are located at Kingston, New York, on the Hudson River about midway between New York City (two hours) and Albany. Kingston is easily reached from the New York State Thruway. Historic Rondout Waterfront Sign

  • Take Kingston Exit 19 off the New York State Thruway
  • Turn right off the traffic circle onto I-587 and go about a mile. At the end of I- 587, go through intersection to Broadway.
  • Follow Broadway through 10 lights. (Approximate count)
  • At the 10th light, turn left to continue on Broadway. (There are small signs pointing to the 'Historic Rondout District' and 'Hudson River Cruises.' Also the Kingston Catholic School is at this corner.)
  • At the bottom of the hill, take a left (you really have no choice, it's a left or the Rondout Creek). Look for the 1898 steam tug Mathilda.
